Performance Improvement

Heat soak is a major contributor to performance loss and inconsistency in the VAG 2.0 TSI engines, most evident after repeated pulls and consistent long distance acceleration. HPA’s intercooler design offers significantly reduced charge air temperatures, resulting in exponential performance gains, particularly for previously modified applications.

Design

HPA’s tube and fin cooler core design, offering a 95% greater total volume, ensures only minimal impact on air flow through to the factory radiator, ensuring that proper engine cooling remains intact. Our cast aluminum end tank configuration maximizes flow, based on enlarged inlet / outlet diameters, and a divided inlet path arrangement, that forces channeled air more effectively, utilizing the entire core surface area. Lastly, a special coating is applied to the end tanks, designed for both long term protection and additional heat dissipation.

Fitment

HPA's intercooler is designed for proper OEM fitment, without the need for any trimming or modifications. Both inlet and outlet connections are designed for a complete, uniform seal. All necessary hardware required for installation is included in the package. Rigid multi-ply silicone hoses offer exceptional durability, and our exclusive hood latch spacer guarantees no interference once installed.
